Riverside, NJ - 7-May-2003 - Site Announcemen - Simple functionality to allow registered users to download shared software from creativyst.com has now been implemented here at the site.

These functions are integrated into the site's security so, for example, a visitor may use an existing forum login, customer login, or supplier login to access the free download pages.

The first software to be offered through this new system will be JSMFeed.pl. This script dynamically converts RSS news and blog feeds into JSMsg so they can be easily displayed on HTML pages. JSMFeed.pl also serves as a bridge to the future. If a source of content begins supporting JSMsg syndication in the future, the webmaster need only replace the call to JSMFeed.pl with a static link to the JSMsg.js file. There is no need to change anything else on the page.

Free download functionality will also be used to distribute CUF. CUF is a simple message format convention that has long been delayed because this functionality was lacking. CUF will likely be the next software to be distributed through this infrastructure.
